Withania somnifera, also known as Indian ginseng and ashwagandha, is a widely used herb in Ayurvedic medicine. The active ingredients in ashwagandha includes steroidal lactones, alkaloids, and saponins. The steroidal lactone withanolide is considered one of the most special and effective components of ashwagandha. Liposology®Ashwagandha uses liposome technology to encapsulate ashwagandha's active ingredients, improving stability, bioavailability, and efficacy.

Improved stability: Liposology®Ashwagandha has a complex composition and has not been used effectively in traditional products. Liposome technology encapsulates the active ingredients in tiny, spherical liposomes composed of phospholipids. This avoids direct contact between the active ingredients and the external environment. It reduces losses during storage and processing. It improves stability and extends the product's shelf life.

Enhanced bioavailability: Liposomes are similar in structure to human cell membranes, so they can be more easily recognized and taken up by cells. This enables the active ingredients of ashwagandha to enter cells more efficiently, significantly improving the bioavailability of nutrients. ■ Production technology description

The production of liposomal ashwagandha involves encapsulating the active ingredients in a phospholipid bilayer using liposome encapsulation technology, forming a stable nanoscale delivery system. Liposology®Ashwagandha is typically prepared using thin film dispersion combined with ultrasonication and supercritical CO2 extraction. Natural phospholipids form a bilayer membrane that encapsulates the extracts within the liposome's aqueous core. The particle size of the product prepared by this method can reach the nanometer level, which can be effectively absorbed by the human body, avoiding the first-pass effect of the liver and improving the absorption and utilisation rate.
