Nutrivitas®Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) Health Benefits:
Nutrivitas®Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) is one of the major forms of vitamin B6, which is involved in amino acid metabolism, neurotransmitter synthesis and haemoglobin formation, and is essential for neurological development and regulation of immune function.
■ Source
Vitamin B6 was first discovered in 1935 by the Hungarian biochemist Albert Szent-Györgyi, and in 1938 the team of German scientist Richard Kuhn isolated pyridoxine from rice bran, yeast and liver. In 1939 S.A. Harris, working with Kuhn, carried out the first chemical synthesis of pyridoxine and elucidated its structure. Subsequent studies revealed the central role of pyridoxine in amino acid metabolism and neurotransmitter synthesis, laying the foundation for its use in nutrition and medicine. Nutrivitas®Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) occurs naturally in foods such as rice bran, vegetables, yeast, molasses and animal liver, and is particularly abundant in cereals, nuts, fish and meat. It can be synthesised in small amounts by human gut microbes, but needs to be supplemented with food to meet requirements.
Particularities of Nutrivitas®Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride):
Product Specifications:
Nutrivitas®Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) is available in the following specification and contents:
○
○
☑ Nutrivitas®Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) 99%-101% crystalline powder
Product quality standards:
● Chp/BP/EP/USP/JP/IP/FCC/ISSFA/GB14753/GB7298/DC
Production technology description:
●The synthesis methods for Nutrivitas®Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) are relatively numerous and generally involve multi-step organic synthesis, aromatisation-hydrolysis and oxidation (indirect synthesis).Using L-alanine or ethyl-alanine as the starting material, the process is mature but requires multi-step purification. By optimising the arylation conditions and hydrolysis steps, the yield of pyridoxine hydrochloride can be significantly increased. The oxidation method is a green process that reduces by-products through homogeneous catalysis, but the ratio of manganese salt needs to be controlled.

▶ Food field
▶ Pharmaceutical field
Used as a vitamin B6 supplement for the treatment of nausea and vomiting in pregnancy, to reduce the side effects of anti-tuberculosis drugs, and as adjuvant therapy in neurological disorders. Nutrivitas®Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) promotes the metabolism of amino acids and is involved in the synthesis and breakdown of proteins, thereby influencing human growth and development and tissue repair.
Nutrivitas®Vitamin B6 ( Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) Applications:
In fatty foods, Nutrivitas®Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) can inhibit the oxidation of fats and oils and extend the shelf life of foods. During food processing and storage, pyridoxine hydrochloride protects colour and flavour. In bread making, pyridoxine hydrochloride can improve the rheological properties of dough by strengthening the structure of the gluten network, making the dough tougher and more ductile, easier to process and shape.
As a food fortifier, the addition of Nutrivitas®Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) to foods can effectively supplement the body's vitamin B6 requirements and prevent vitamin B6 deficiency. It is mainly used in infant formula, solid drinks and flavoured foods. It is used in multivitamin tablets and capsules to meet the nutritional needs of pregnant women, the elderly and other special groups.
Nutrivitas®Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) is essential for maintaining normal growth, development and cellular metabolism in the body. Nutrivitas®Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) deficiency affects the normal metabolism of proteins and amino acids, reduces the efficiency of protein absorption and utilisation in the body, and ultimately leads to anorexia, growth retardation, neurological disorders and anaemia.
Nutrivitas®Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) is a cofactor in the synthesis of neurotransmitters such as epinephrine, norepinephrine, dopamine, 5-hydroxytryptophan and gamma-aminobutyric acid, which are very important for the body to maintain normal development and function of the nervous system.
Nutrivitas®Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) is considered a potent antioxidant because it contains hydroxyl and amine groups on its pyridine ring that can react directly with reactive oxygen species (ROS) radicals. Nutrivitas®Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) is also involved in the production of a number of bioactive substances. Both taurine and hydrogen sulphide are derived from sulphur-containing amino acids, and their synthesis requires the involvement of vitamin B6-dependent enzymes.
■ Pharmacological actions
Nutrivitas®Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) in vivo and ATP by enzyme action to generate physiologically active pyridoxal phosphate and pyridoxamine phosphate, is the aminotransferase of certain amino acids, decarboxylation and coenzymes of the enzyme racemisation, involved in many metabolic processes.
Nutrivitas®Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) is mainly used in cosmetics for antioxidant and anti-aging, UV protection and moisturising repair.
▶ Cosmetic field
Nutrivitas®Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) is an important compound for maintaining the function of the innate and adaptive immune systems, particularly necessary for anti-inflammatory immune responses.
